This Week at Rotary…….

City of Newnan Business Development Director Hasco Craver IV will be our speaker this Friday.  Hasco is new to our community having begun his duties here in August of last year.  We look forward to an update from him about business development plans in Newnan, as well as upcoming events in Downtown Newnan.

NEW MEMBER INDUCTION!!!

We will be inducting Jac Counts into the Club this Friday.  Jac is sponsored by Bill Fallin and Brett Johnston and he is employed by Cancer Treatment Centers of America.  Let’s make him feel welcome!!

Last Week’s Program

Our speaker was Dr. Charles Brownlow from the Georgia Pain and Spine Care Clinic here in Newnan.  Dr. Brownlow educated us on the most recent pain management techniques.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Our club has been selected by Rotary International to offer the Associate Membership pilot program.  You now have the option of proposing someone for Associate Membership in the club.  An associate member only pays for meals, he or she does not have to pay membership dues.  A person may only remain an associate member for 6 months and at the end of that period must elect to become a full member or  to withdraw from membership.  If you know someone whom you believe would be an excellent Rotarian, but that person wants to take a test drive first, this is an excellent opportunity.  Don’t forget the Prospective Member Mixer scheduled for February 16 at 5:00 p.m. at MaMa Lucia’s.  We want to have a good showing of Rotarians present to meet and talk with our prospective new members.

Spring golf outing

Our annual spring golf outing will be held on march 16 at the newnan country club, immediately following our meeting.  This event is a lot of fun.  Put the date on your calendar now.  More information about signups will be coming.
